TTP Islamabad Attack: 4 Suspects Arrested

The government arrested four TTP members linked to the Islamabad attack earlier this week. Authorities said the operation involved the Intelligence Bureau and Counter-Terrorism Department. The suspects belonged to the TTP/Fitna al-Khawarij network. Officials warned more arrests could follow as investigations continue. Citizens are urged to remain vigilant against potential threats.

Investigators revealed the handler, Sajidullah alias Sheena, confessed during questioning. He said TTP Commander Saeedur Rehman alias Daadullah directed the attack. Rehman contacted Sheena via Telegram. The mission aimed to target law enforcement and maximize casualties. Officials emphasized the network followed strict high-command guidance from Afghanistan.

The bomber, Usman alias Qari, received a suicide jacket from Sheena. He collected it from a Peshawar graveyard before moving to Islamabad. On attack day, Sheena helped him wear the jacket. The operation showed detailed planning and coordination. Authorities confirmed all four local cell members are now in custody.

Security agencies said investigations are ongoing to uncover more TTP links. Officials aim to prevent further attacks across the capital. They continue monitoring the network’s activities. Citizens are asked to report suspicious behavior immediately. Authorities reassured the public that safety remains a top priority.

The TTP Islamabad attack highlights ongoing cross-border terrorism threats. Arrested members remain in strict custody as investigations progress.
