Punjab’s CM IT Internship Programme launched

As per Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision, government is taking important steps to fulfill her dream of a digital Punjab. A remarkable effort has been made to connect IT graduates with IT companies, as Chief Minister IT Internship Programme has been launched in the province. Under the program, a scholarship of Rs. 50,000 per month will be given during the 05-month internship period. IT graduates, domiciled in Punjab, who have completed their degrees in last 04 years can apply online at cmitinterns.punjab.gov.pk. The interns will be able to get training in skills and technology according to market needs. It will also provide them a rare opportunity to benefit from professionals and experts. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that Punjab is being taken on a new path of development by making it an IT hub. She added that Nawaz Sharif IT City project will prove to be a game-changer project in this regard.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif will attend COP30 Conference on Environment in Brazil from 10-21 November. Accompanied by Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Minister for Local Government Zeeshan Rafique and Minister for Education Rana Sikandar Hayat, she will represent Punjab at the said conference, and will present Punjab government’s vision of ‘Waste to Value, Vision to Global Action’ in 19 months, besides discussing measures to eliminate smog and improve air quality in Punjab. She will also shed light on her measures to make all sectors of Punjab eco-friendly for the first time in history. She will dilate on electric vehicle-based transport in Punjab, an initiative to run electric buses in 42 cities of Punjab, besides clean and green Punjab project. She will announce to make the province an environmentally friendly province of T30 vision, and will discuss the vision of running one hundred and twenty thousand electric motorcycles and rickshaws in Punjab. She will also express her opinion on the measures to run 1100 electric taxis in Punjab, and will also explain details of a plan to operate the most advanced digital rail system.
