Afghan national among three India-backed terrorists killed across KP

Published on: November 4, 2025 1:26 AM

Security forces killed three khwarij terrorists belonging to Indian Proxy Fitna Al Khwarij in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.

“Movement of a group of khwarij, opposite general area Esham, North Waziristan District, who were trying to infiltrate through Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was picked up by the security forces,” said a news release issued by ISPR.

“Own troops effectively engaged this group of khwarij. As a result of precise and skillful engagement, two khwarij belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij were sent to hell,” it further said.

It is significant to highlight that one of the killed khwarij has been identified as Kharji Qasim an Afghan national who was actively serving in Afghan Border Police.

“In another intelligence based operation conducted in Tank District, own troops successfully neutralised another Kharji belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij, who was identified as Kharji Ikramuddin @Abu Dajana also an Afghan national,” the news release added.

These incidents reveal continued involvement of Afghan nationals in numerous terrorist activities against innocent civilians and security forces inside Pakistan.

Pakistan has repeatedly been asking Interim Afghan Government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border and is expected to fulfill its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by Khwarij and involvement of its citizens in terrorism inside Pakistan.

“The Security Forces of Pakistan remain resolute and unwavering in their commitment to defend the nation’s frontiers. Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored Kharji found in the area as relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” the news release said.

Separately, six cops were injured on Monday when gunmen opened fire at the North Waziristan district police officer’s (DPO) vehicle near Bannu district’s Mamash Khel town, an official said.

Bannu Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sajjad Khan confirmed to the media, adding that the incident took place on Miranshah road, which connects Bannu and North Waziristan.

“Armed men open fire at the vehicle of North Waziristan’s DPO,” RPO Khan said. “The DPO remained unhurt,” he added.

He further said the injured police personnel were taken to the Bannu District Headquarters Hospital.

“The unidentified attackers have hidden in nearby areas and a search operation is underway [to trace them],” the Bannu RPO said.

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday lauded the security forces for successfully thwarting terrorist infiltration attempts and conducting decisive operations against the India-backed militant group Fitna al-Khawarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

President Zardari paid rich tribute to the security forces for their timely and effective action, describing their success as vital for Pakistan’s peace and stability, a statement from the presidency said.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a separate statement, also paid tribute to the security forces for their successful operations in North Waziristan and Tank districts, where three terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij were killed.
