LONDON – King Charles is reportedly considering granting Sarah Ferguson the Adelaide Cottage despite mounting pressure from royal aides, as insiders claim he fears what she “might do next” if denied.
According to reports, Prince Andrew is currently negotiating with the monarch over the Royal Lodge, the lavish 30-room mansion he shares with his ex-wife, Fergie. The Duke of York has allegedly proposed that he and Sarah receive two new homes — Frogmore Cottage for himself and Adelaide Cottage for Ferguson — in exchange for vacating the Royal Lodge.

The proposal has sparked controversy, given the couple’s ongoing scandals tied to Andrew’s past association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Despite the backlash, royal expert Rebecca English wrote in Daily Mail that Charles’s main concern is avoiding further public fallout.
“The King is a kind man but his patience has been pushed to the limit,” English quoted a royal source as saying. “However, the last thing he wants is another Spare,” referring to Prince Harry’s explosive 2023 memoir.
Meanwhile, a source told The Sun that Prince Andrew has reassured the King he will not follow in Harry’s footsteps. “Andrew won’t write a book like Spare,” the insider confirmed, suggesting the disgraced prince hopes to maintain peace within the royal family.
