PPP to push no-confidence motion in Azad Kashmir Assembly

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has decided to introduce a no-confidence motion in the Azad Kashmir Assembly, party sources confirmed on Saturday.

The decision came during a parliamentary group meeting of PPP Azad Jammu & Kashmir, chaired by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The meeting included central women’s wing president Faryal Talpur and senior leaders like Sardar Qamar Zaman, Chaudhry Muhammad Riaz, and Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan.

During the session, leaders discussed the political situation in the valley, public issues, and possible solutions. They also deliberated on improving party organizational infrastructure to strengthen PPP’s presence in the region.

PPP Azad Jammu & Kashmir leaders shared their proposals on the political scenario with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Senior party figures like Raja Pervez Ashraf, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen, and Faisal Mumtaz Rathore also participated. Other members included Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Sardar Javed Ayub, Sardar Muhammad Yaqub Khan, and several key parliamentarians.

The meeting concluded with a decision that any change in government or formation of a new administration in Azad Kashmir will be finalized by President Asif Ali Zardari. He will also approve the candidate for the next Azad Kashmir Prime Minister.
