No begging, just action: Maryam unveils Rs100B flood relief

Published on: October 20, 2025 5:52 PM

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a Rs100 billion relief package for Punjab’s flood victims. She said the government did not beg or cry for help from the world. Instead, it used its own resources to help people with dignity. She emphasized that protecting the self-respect of the people is her top priority. The announcement was made during a flood card distribution ceremony in Okara.

Maryam Nawaz declared the official start of the rehabilitation phase for flood victims. She said 70% of the damage survey has already been completed. The rest will be done soon to ensure fairness. She promised that the government will not rest until every affected person is properly identified. She stressed that no aid will go to anyone except genuine victims.
