QUETTA – The kidnapped son of Assistant Commissioner (AC) Ziarat, Mustansar Bilal, has been safely recovered after two months, police confirmed on Friday.
However, his father, AC Muhammad Afzal Baqi, is still missing. Authorities said efforts are ongoing to find him and bring him home safely.
According to police, Mustansar reached the Zardalo area of Harnai and was taken into protective custody before being handed over to the Deputy Commissioner.

The AC and his son were kidnapped two months ago by armed men while returning to Ziarat after a family picnic. The kidnappers had released other family members, the guard, and the driver after burning the official vehicle.
Last month, reports claimed that AC Baqi had been killed, but Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the killing was not confirmed and promised full efforts for his recovery.
Officials have not shared details about how Mustansar managed to reach Harnai.
