LONDON – A new frontrunner has entered the race to become the next James Bond, as previous favorite James Norton ruled himself out, citing that he feels too old for the role. Anthony Boyle, the Belfast-born star of House of Guinness, has now emerged as a leading contender. Ladbrokes bookies have placed Boyle at 10/1 odds, making him the fifth favorite to take on the legendary 007 mantle.
Boyle, who portrays eldest Guinness son Arthur in the Netflix series, began his acting career in 2013 after training at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. He graduated with a BA in Acting in 2016 and gained acclaim for his role as Scorpius Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. His television credits include Game of Thrones, Derry Girls, and Say Nothing.

Other rumored contenders for the role include Callum Turner, Henry Cavill, Harris Dickinson, Tom Holland, Theo James, and Jack Lowden.
In August, Amazon MGM Studios announced that the next Bond film’s script will be written by Steven Knight, creator of Peaky Blinders. The previous Bond installment, No Time To Die (2021), starred Daniel Craig alongside Lea Seydoux.
Fans eagerly await the official casting announcement, as speculation continues over who will inherit one of cinema’s most iconic roles.
