LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leaders on eve of Labour Day demanded transparency saying that corruption and bad governance has become poison for Pakistan. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is striving to make this country a nation of Iqbal and Jinnah, former governor of Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, Ijaz Chaudary, Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed, Waleed Iqbal, Rana Abdul Sami and Waleed Iqbal expressed these views while addressing the event on Labour Day in Lahore. “Rulers should think for betterment of country instead of saving their wealth” they added saying “Thousands of factories have been shut down due to electricity shortage”. Former Governor of Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that all roots of problems are annexed to the vicious cycle of corruption, bad governance, economic disparity, and injustice in the country. “Without rule of law and equal laws for poor and rich, Pakistan can’t move ahead in any case”, Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed said. “Pakistan can only move forward by eradicating the horrific corruption apparatus in the country”, Ijaz Chaudary said adding that Pakistan is fighting war on terrorism but war on corruption is also essential for existence of the country. Waleed Iqbal and Hammad Azhar expressed sorrow over the sad state of labourers in the country due to extensive load shedding and closing of all industrial units. Sarwar said that Imran Khan is the only hope in the country and particle of hope for depressed people.
