A shocking story has come out from Pirmahal in Toba Tek Singh, where police have booked three people, including a woman, for
kidnapping and raping a blind married woman. The victim says she was held captive for six months, raped many times and even forced to beg on
the streets.
According to the first information report (FIR), the woman, identified as ‘H’, said that a man named ‘A’ tricked her by offering financial help. He told her that he wanted to support her and her young son, but instead took them to Lahore in April 2025. He was helped by his two accomplices.
Once in Lahore, the nightmare began. The victim said that ‘A’ repeatedly raped her and threatened to kill her and her son if she tried to escape. She was also forced to beg by her kidnappers.
The abuse continued for months, and she had no way to contact anyone or seek help. After suffering for half a year, she finally found a chance to escape. She fled from her abductors and returned to her husband’s house in the Plot B area of Pirmahal.
It was there that she told the police everything and filed a report. The Pirmahal police have now registered a case under Sections 496-A and 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which deal with illegal marriage and rape. Police teams are carrying out raids to arrest the main suspect and his accomplices, but they are still on the run.
This painful story shows how vulnerable women, especially those with disabilities, can be targeted by criminals. It also shows the need for stronger laws and better protection for people with special needs. The courage of this woman to escape and report the crime gives hope that justice will be served and such acts will not go unpunished. *
