The Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Fayaz Hussain Abasi presided over a meeting to review land acquisition and mutation progress for the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway (M-6) at Shahbaz Building.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Yousif Sheikh, Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Zain-ul-Abideen Memon, Assistant Commissioner Jamshoro, and officials from the National Highway Authority (NHA).
During the meeting, it was apprised that 95 percent of the land acquisition work has been completed, with the Matiari district achieving 100 percent completion in terms of award and mutation.
The Commissioner directed that the remaining award and mutation process in Hyderabad and Jamshoro districts be completed within two weeks.
The Commissioner Hyderabad stated that the Government of Sindh will provide the required funds for the project, and approvals for several districts have already been granted. He further directed that No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from various departments for government land should be expedited to ensure the timely completion of all remaining formalities.
Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi emphasized that the M-6 Motorway is a vital infrastructure project for the country’s economic development.
He added that all stages of the project must be completed with transparency and efficiency so that the public can benefit from this national initiative at the earliest.
Separately, the Commissioner Larkana Division, Tahir Hussain Sangi, presided over the Divisional Task Force (DTF) readiness meeting on Tuesday regarding the upcoming seven-day Polio Eradication Campaign (SNID) scheduled to be held from 13 to 19 October 2025.
During the meeting, the Commissioner was briefed on the preparations for the campaign. He emphasized that the forthcoming drive carries special importance as two new polio cases have recently been reported from Sindh province.
