Saudi Arabia to launch AI hub in Pakistan

Published on: October 5, 2025 6:34 PM

Saudi Arabia’s GO Telecommunications Group has announced that it will launch the GO AI Hub Pakistan in October 2025, marking a significant step toward boosting artificial intelligence and digital cooperation between the two countries. The initiative is expected to play a vital role in advancing innovation, strengthening digital infrastructure, and building a skilled workforce in Pakistan’s growing technology sector.

The announcement came following a high-level meeting at GO Group’s headquarters in Riyadh, where Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja met with senior executives of the company. Both sides discussed new opportunities in AI, digital infrastructure, and training programs to prepare Pakistan’s youth for emerging global technology demands.

Through this collaboration, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia aim to expand cooperation in several areas, including data centre development, capacity building, and advanced technology solutions. The GO AI Hub will also act as a platform for knowledge sharing, technical training, and co-creation of innovative projects that will directly support digital transformation across industries.

Minister Shaza Fatima highlighted the importance of the partnership, noting that GO Group’s expertise in AI, cybersecurity, and data-driven solutions will significantly contribute to Pakistan’s digital progress. She also reaffirmed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s “Digital Nation Vision Pakistan”, which aims to position the country as a leading regional technology hub.

The official launch ceremony of the GO AI Hub is scheduled for October and will be attended by senior government officials, technology experts, and industry leaders from both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. With this milestone, both countries are preparing to strengthen ties and jointly drive innovation in artificial intelligence and digital technologies for the future.
