KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur finally met with jailed party chairman Imran Khan to address months of political tension. The CM shared concerns about misleading reports and interference from social media activists. Gandapur described feeling misrepresented and pressured by his own party during the last six months.

For months, he faced criticism for refusing to block the provincial budget and for negotiating with the Afghan Taliban. Social media activists and party insiders, especially Imran Khan’s sister Aleema, were critical of Gandapur’s decisions. The criticism intensified after incidents like the D-Chowk protest and budget disagreements, leaving him politically vulnerable.
Gandapur said he was trolled and called names such as “traitor” and “establishment tout” online. He claimed Aleema Khan’s media statements worsened the situation, portraying him unfairly to the party chief. The KP CM argued that his communications were filtered and distorted before reaching Imran Khan.
During the face-to-face meeting, Gandapur presented evidence of manipulation and interference by Aleema Khan. He said Imran Khan assured him of trust and clarified he had never instructed his sister to criticize Gandapur. The meeting left the CM feeling relieved and more confident in handling party matters.

Following the discussion, Gandapur reshuffled his cabinet, removing ministers linked to corruption and aligning key positions with loyal colleagues.
