Pakistan’s Nashra Sandhu delivered a career-best performance with 6 wickets for 26 runs, helping Pakistan win the third ODI against South Africa. The match, held at Gaddafi Stadium, ended with Pakistan chasing down a small target of 116 with six wickets in hand.
Sandhu’s deadly nine-over spell tore through South Africa’s batting order. She dismissed key batters including Sune Luus, Chloe Tryon, and Nadine de Klerk. Her figures of 6/26 are now the second-best in Pakistan women’s ODI history, just behind Sajjida Shah’s 7/4 against Japan in 2003.

This match also marked a major career milestone for Nashra. She became only the third Pakistani woman to reach 100 ODI wickets, joining legends Sana Mir (151) and Nida Dar (108). Sandhu now has 104 wickets in 75 matches.
South Africa collapsed for just 115 runs in 26 overs, with only skipper Laura Wolvaardt showing resistance with 28 runs. In response, Pakistan cruised to victory in 31 overs, led by Sidra Amin’s unbeaten 50 and Muneeba Ali’s 44, securing a consolation win in the series.
Nashra’s spell also places her among the top Asian left-arm spinners in ODI history. Her 6/26 ranks above India’s Ekta Bisht (5/8) and Rajeshwari Gayakwad (5/15). At just 27, the Lahore-born spinner has firmly cemented her spot as one of Asia’s finest spin talents.
