The government of Balochistan has extended Section 144 across the province for another 15 days. This order continues restrictions on public gatherings and security measures to maintain law and order. The extension was officially announced through a government notification.
Under Section 144, the display of weapons and double riding on motorcycles remains banned. Gatherings of more than five people are prohibited. The government has also imposed a ban on covering faces during this period.
Additionally, the use of vehicles with tinted black windows is now forbidden across Balochistan. Authorities warned that violators would face strict legal action under the new directives. These measures aim to curb unrest and ensure public safety.
The original order came into effect on August 1 for 15 days. It was extended on August 16 due to ongoing security concerns. Furthermore, public transport movement is restricted between 5 PM and 5 AM to control night-time activities.
Violators of the transport ban risk having their route permits canceled. The government’s proactive steps seek to stabilize the region and prevent any law and order breakdown during this period.
