Aleema Khan slams ‘false testimonies’ behind PTI worker punishments

Published on: July 23, 2025 11:00 AM

Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, has strongly criticized the legal actions being taken against party workers, claiming that many are being punished based on false testimonies. While speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail on Tuesday, she expressed serious concern over what she described as injustice towards Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf supporters. She insisted that fabricated evidence is being used to silence political voices.

Furthermore, Aleema revealed that Imran Khan’s sons, Suleman and Qasim, are returning to Pakistan soon. She stressed that they will not be discouraged by any threats or pressure. According to her, this decision reflects the family’s commitment to standing firm despite ongoing political challenges. She said their return signals a strong message of unity and courage.

In addition, Aleema shared that Imran Khan has asked party leaders to stay united and focus on the ongoing protest movement. He has reportedly directed the leadership to avoid distractions and continue their political struggle peacefully. She highlighted that this guidance is meant to strengthen the party during a very difficult period.

Aleema also raised concerns about the treatment of Imran Khan inside Adiala Jail. She claimed that he has been kept in complete isolation for the past month. Moreover, his access to television has been blocked, and even his daily newspaper subscription was suddenly stopped weeks ago, cutting off his link to outside events.

She questioned the fairness of such restrictions, calling them unnecessary and unjust. Aleema argued that denying basic facilities is a violation of rights, especially for someone who has served as the country’s elected prime minister. She urged authorities to stop this mistreatment and allow him proper communication access.

These statements come at a time when PTI is facing increasing pressure, and supporters are calling for fair legal proceedings. Aleema Khan’s remarks are likely to fuel further political debate and bring renewed attention to the conditions faced by Imran Khan and his followers.
