Imran Khan has firmly instructed PTI members to stop airing internal party issues in public. In a message shared via his official X account from Adiala Jail, he emphasized that all party disagreements must remain private. He warned that public criticism—whether through the media or social platforms—would not be tolerated, regardless of a member’s rank.
This statement comes after apparent divisions surfaced during a press conference on Sunday. PTI had planned to announce details of a nationwide protest scheduled for August 5, marking two years of Imran Khan’s imprisonment. However, KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur introduced a confusing 90-day timeline for a “final push,” sparking concern and disagreement within the party ranks.
PTI Punjab leader Aliya Hamza Malik later expressed her dissatisfaction over the lack of clarity, questioning the change of plans on social media. Her absence from the press conference fueled further speculation, despite claims that she was “busy.” Malik herself mocked that excuse, asking who had authorized the shift from August 5 to a 90-day strategy.
Imran Khan, in his jail message, reminded members of the sacrifices being made and urged them to put aside personal grudges. He stressed that the focus must remain on the protest movement to restore fundamental human rights in Pakistan. He added that anyone who fails to participate would face consequences—even from within prison.
The internal confusion has only deepened amid legal challenges, trust issues, and speculation of a “minus Imran” narrative. Aleema Khan, Imran’s sister, earlier accused the government of sidelining her brother. Her emotional remarks created further controversy and drew fire from PML-N leaders. Meanwhile, many PTI insiders believe a communication breakdown between jailed leadership and party officials is fueling the crisis.
