ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has failed to make further progress against principal secretary to president in plot corruption scandal. The Principal Secretary to President Shahid Khan had acquired commercial plot from Police martyrs quota and sold it, due to which national exchequer faced loss of millions of rupees. When NAB started its initial investigations, Shahid Khan deposited Rs. 2.2 million in the bank account of police foundation to save himself from the arrest. As a result of filing the reference against Chairman NAB Chaudhry Qamar Zaman in Supreme Judicial Council, the investigation against Shahid Khan couldn’t progress further. The NAB while conducting under hand deal with the officials of Islamabad administration probe has stopped, however these officials are equal partner in this scandal. It is worth mentioning here that President Mamnoon Hussain has also sought briefing regarding probe against his principal secretary and corruption scandal. The probe against top officials of NAB besides Shahid Khan in plot scandals could not be developed. The spokesperson of NAB has excused for exploitation while Shahid Khan is quiet in this regard.
