RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir has stressed the need for strong coordination and mutual respect among state institutions to achieve Pakistan’s strategic and developmental goals. He shared these views while addressing the probationary officers of the 52nd Common Training Program (CTP) of the Civil Services Academy at the Army Auditorium in Rawalpindi.
During his address, Field Marshal Munir highlighted the importance of a unified national vision, where civil and military institutions work together to overcome challenges. He said inter-institutional harmony is essential for national growth, stability, and achieving long-term development objectives. The session was part of a wider initiative to enhance understanding and cooperation between civil servants and the armed forces.
The probationary officers had recently completed attachments with Pakistan Army formations in peace-time and operational areas, including Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan. These visits provided them with valuable exposure to the Army’s role in national defense, internal security, and development activities across different regions.
COAS also discussed key national security concerns, both internal and external, and spoke about the Pakistan Army’s critical role in maintaining regional peace. He emphasized that a transparent, service-oriented, and efficient civil bureaucracy is vital to state governance. Urging the young officers to serve with integrity and commitment, he reminded them that the future of Pakistan lies in their hands.
Furthermore, the Army Chief called for young bureaucrats to uphold professionalism, impartiality, and dedication in public service. He reiterated that collaboration between the civil and military sectors is necessary to overcome the multifaceted challenges Pakistan currently faces and to build a stronger, more united nation.
The meeting concluded with a vibrant question-and-answer session, where the officers appreciated the opportunity to interact directly with senior military leadership. The event fostered a spirit of mutual respect and shared responsibility, reflecting Pakistan’s broader vision of institutional unity and collective national progress.
