Sukkur IBA university sends first batch of interns to NA

Sukkur IBA University has taken a groundbreaking step in academic-industry collaboration by sending its first batch of 25 meritorious students to a six-week internship program at the Parliament House on Thursday.

This initiative, launched under the visionary leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Asif Ahmed Shaikh, reflects the university’s commitment to providing students with national-level opportunities.

The internship program is part of a formal agreement between Sukkur IBA University and the National Assembly, aimed at promoting student learning through practical engagement with legislative processes.

The selected students, mostly from modest backgrounds, underwent a rigorous evaluation process, with over 200 applicants from various disciplines.

The internship program is designed to contribute to parliamentary reforms, focusing on modern technologies and improved institutional functioning.

The program will provide students with a firsthand understanding of the legislative environment and democratic governance.
