Hamza Ali Abbasi clarifies: “I did not give any interview against Imran Khan”

Published on: June 18, 2025 6:38 PM

Actor Hamza Ali Abbasi has clarified that he did not give any recent interview against Imran Khan, stating that some social media pages have misrepresented his statements.

Hamza shared a clip from his recent interview on Instagram, along with a link to the full video, urging everyone to watch the entire interview before forming any opinions.

In his post, he wrote that while he had indeed given an interview recently, some social media pages shared misleading posts and headlines, falsely claiming that he had spoken against Imran Khan.

He emphasized that he neither criticized nor spoke against Imran Khan, and urged people not to believe in misleading narratives but to watch the full interview themselves.

It is worth noting that Hamza had appeared in an interview with Mansoor Ali Khan, where he discussed several political matters.

In that interview, Hamza admitted that he had been wrong in his judgment about certain matters related to Imran Khan. He stated that PTI’s 2014 long march and the May 9, 2022 attacks on military installations were wrong.

According to him, while the government formed by PTI in 2018 brought some improvements, there were also several mistakes made.

Specifically referring to the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan in April 2022, Hamza remarked that the developments that followed were unfortunate, and all stakeholders made mistakes.

While discussing PTI and Imran Khan’s missteps, he labeled the May 9 attacks on military cantonments and buildings as wrong, adding that such events should never have happened.

He also called the 2014 long march and other protests by PTI wrong.

Concluding his comments, Hamza urged all stakeholders – including Imran Khan, the military, and PML-N – to come together for national interest and resolve issues through dialogue and negotiation.
