
ISLAMABAD — President Asif Ali Zardari visited the Air Headquarters (AHQ) to boost the morale of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) after its impressive role in defending the country’s airspace against recent Indian aggression. During the visit, the President expressed great satisfaction with the PAF’s combat readiness and unwavering commitment.
Upon arrival, President Zardari was warmly welcomed by a smartly turned-out PAF contingent that presented a Guard of Honour. In meetings with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, the President praised the professionalism and dedication of PAF personnel in protecting Pakistan’s sovereignty.
He also highlighted the leadership of Air Chief Marshal Sidhu, applauding his efforts in modernizing the Air Force and integrating advanced technology. These improvements have strengthened Pakistan’s defense and changed the regional strategic balance in Pakistan’s favor.
Moreover, President Zardari praised the Air Force for its bold and timely response to Indian attacks. He reaffirmed the Government of Pakistan’s full support to PAF as it continues to pursue excellence in defense capabilities.
In response, the Air Chief shared details about ongoing modernization projects focused on future warfare. He emphasized that recent successes were due to PAF’s unmatched training, advanced weaponry, and integrated multi-domain operations including space, cyber, and electronic warfare.
