Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh staged a major protest on Thursday outside the City Court in Karachi. The party demanded the immediate release of its founder, Imran Khan, and his wife Bushra Bibi. A large crowd, including PTI leaders, lawyers, workers, and supporters, gathered with banners and party flags. Protesters raised loud slogans against the government and judiciary, accusing both of political victimization.
PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh led the protest and addressed the crowd. He said the country’s Constitution and rule of law are under attack. According to him, governments formed through “Form-47 rigging” have weakened democracy and pushed the country into crisis. He claimed Imran Khan and his wife are jailed in politically motivated and fake cases.
Sheikh also criticized the judicial process, alleging a pattern of delaying tactics. He pointed out that the judge scheduled to hear the Al-Qadir Trust case was again on leave. “Judges disappear when it’s time to give justice,” he said. He termed it a conspiracy to deny fair hearings and claimed the legal system is being misused against PTI.
This is not the first time PTI has faced delays in court proceedings. The party believes such actions are part of a broader effort to sideline Imran Khan politically. PTI leaders said they will continue peaceful protests if fair justice is not delivered soon. The Al-Qadir Trust case, which involves land and funds allegations, remains a key legal battle for the party.
Despite heavy police presence, the protest remained peaceful. However, tensions were visible among the participants. PTI vowed to keep raising its voice for justice across the country. Leaders urged the judiciary to act independently and fairly, warning that silence now would weaken public trust in democratic institutions.
