Brutal killing of Pakistani citizens in Sistan province of Iran is condemnable. Heinous act has served another stak reminder that terrorism continuous to challenge the regional security. Targeting of poor unarmed labourer reflects the ill intents and mental state of terrorists. Victims belonged to Southern Punjab’s Bahawalpur and surrounding areas, which lack developed infrastructure and economic prosperity. This backwardness actually compelled the needy labour class to seek the jobs in far flung areas. Banned bBLAA, BLF and various splinter groups find it easier to target the vulnerable and powerless job seekers of Punjabi origin. This immoral strategy serve many devilish purposes to the terrorists. Reckless killings of Punjabi origin poor citizens provide enough fuel to ignite the ethnic prejudice. Anti-Punjab ethnic hatred runs like blood in the veins of all banned separatist groups involved in terrorism inside the Balochistan. Blood bath in Sistan is an extension of ongoing terrorism spreading in Balochistan. All victims of recent inhuman killing spree traveled to Iran through Balochistan. active presence of separatist terrorists in areas adjacent to Pak – Iran border is a clear and present danger for regional security. It is equally fatal for bilateral ties which are already vulnerable to multiple geo- political challenges Meritnng joint approach. W transpired in Jaffer Express train hijacking, is undeniable evidence of a larger destabilizing scheme launched against Pakistan by the forces enmical to peace and development. Swift eradication of terrorists and the release of besieged victims in operation has dented the morale of banned groups. Effortd to create psychological fear across Balochistan with train hijacking could only create short-term ripples. Rapid counter operation of Armed Forces Special Services Group , which led to the swift elimination of all terrorists eventually snatched the upper edge from the masterminds of highjacking episode. Messages is loud and clear. Targeting of poor unarmed labourer reflects the ill intents and mental state of terrorists. No anti state terrorist group has the luxury of free run in any part of the Balochistan. cowardly attacks on unarmed civilians and travellers are signs of week morality , inhuman approach and deep alignment with known enemies of the state . Recent killings of innocent Punjabi labourers on the soil of Iran is handy crime of separatist groups operating under the banner of B L A and BLF. They select weaker and softer targets inside Iran with an obvious aim to restore the morale lost with successful Jafar Express counter operation . It is once again exposed that so-called pro Baloch terror outfits are using the cover of human rights and victimhood to gain sympathy of international community. However, the cover is melting quickly and the sensible quarters are condemning the brutal terrorist attacks against unarmed innocent citizens . Nexus between religiously motivated and ethnically inspired separatist terrorist groups has already been unveiled few months back. Terrorist thrust in Balochistan and KP provinces revolves around the idea of depriving the Pakistan from much needed stability. Terrorist groups enjoy the full scale support of anti Pakistan and anti China players. Indian spoiler roll on regional chessboard has never been a well kept secret. Besides using Afghan soil to play dirty proxy games against Pakistan, vicious decision makers in New Delhi have remained involved in patronising terrorist networks and Balochistan from Iran. Arrest of Kulbhushan was the most relevant and undeniable evidence. Blood bath in Sistan is the continuation of surging terrorism wave which precisely aims at destabilizing the Balochistan. This Sinister plan compromises terrorism propaganda against progressive plans including CPEC, fueling of ethnic fault lines and above all creation of soft corner for hard core terrorist in the garb of human rights advocacy. Selected Baloch victimhood rhetoric of BYC followed by the mysterious short term activism of Akhtar Mangal especially the half hearted long march do not fit well in current unrest in the province. Meaningfully, so-called human rights activists and thier liberal Leftist supporters always remain tight-lipped on the killings of Punjabi labourers . Killing episode in Sistan has once again drawn attention of Iran and Pakistan towards the unchecked flow of terrorist groups through the borders. Hopes are high that Iran would leave no stone unturned to serve the justice to victim families by eliminating the merciless killers. The writer is a student.
