Saba Qamar to play Qandeel Baloch in biopic

Saba Qamar has revealed that she will be playing Qandeel Baloch in a biopic.

The Pakistani actress has recently already been creating a buzz in the industry with her Bollywood debut in the film ‘Hindi Medium.’ According to Saba Qamar she has even cut her hair in order to play the role. According to the producer of the venture, Nina Kashif, the drama serial will tackle the social issue of honour killing.

The actress also took to her social media to give her fans a glimpse of
her upcoming role play.

Saba Qamar Zaman is a Pakistani film and television actress. Qamar has established a career in the Pakistani entertainment industry, and is the recipient of several accolades, including eight Lux Style Awards.

Born in Hyderabad, Qamar moved to Lahore for further education, pursued a career in acting from there itself, and made her debut with a role in the PTV Home drama ‘Main Aurat Hu’. Qamar continued to appear in supporting roles in the following years, but her claim to fame came in 2007, when she played leading roles in two of the hit dramas, ‘Dhoop May Andhera Hai’ and ‘Jinnah Ke Naam’. She later received widespread recognition for her portraying unconventional roles in several of the highest-rated Urdu television series, including the domestic drama ‘Urraan’, the historical drama ‘Dastaan’, the social drama ‘Main Chand Si’, the family dramas ‘Maat’ and ‘Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi’, the melodrama ‘Thakan’, the psychodrama ‘Sannata’, the romantic dramas ‘Bunty I Love You’ and ‘Digest Writer’, the tragic romance ‘Sangat’ and the modern drama ‘Besharam’, all of which earned her critical acclaim as well as several accolades.
