The University of Management and Technology (UMT) under the umbrella of ILM Trust, a leading educational initiative dedicated to making higher education accessible for all, has surpassed an extraordinary milestone by granting over PKR 13 billion in scholarships to more than 33,000 deserving students across Pakistan. This achievement marks a significant rise in the organization’s mission to break barriers and foster inclusivity in education. From the remote areas of Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Balochistan to underrepresented regions across the country, UMT is changing lives and offering new opportunities to those who need it most. This scholarship extends across 110 districts, with a special focus on supporting orphans, working students, and those from underprivileged backgrounds. Under the visionary leadership of President ILM Trust/ UMT Ibrahim Hasan Murad, the ILM Fund continues to lead the charge in ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder deserving students from pursuing higher education. UMT has significantly boosted its scholarship program from 40% to an impressive 61% over the last five years. Remarkably, 51% of the students receive financial aid to excel in their academic and professional pursuits. President UMT Ibrahim Hasan Murad expressed that this achievement is not just about numbers, it’s about changing lives and creating a future where education is a right, not a privilege. Together, we are investing in tomorrow’s leaders and helping shape a more inclusive and prosperous Pakistan, said Murad. As ILM Fund continues to expand its reach, the organization remains focused on providing scholarships that allow students to excel academically and professionally, regardless of their background. Through these concerted efforts, the ILM Fund is actively reshaping individual futures, empowering people to achieve their fullest potential. Murad also emphasized that these achievements are the result of the collective efforts of UMT’s faculty, staff, leadership, students, and alumni. We should all take great pride in this.
