Personal hearings will be held before the cases are decided,” FBISE said. To facilitate the students, the FBISE also has introduced a mechanism under which all possible errors in the declared results will be rectified by the board. However, it clarified that the board itself was not responsible for any printing error. On Sunday, the FBISE sent out coverage requests for the main result announcement ceremony. On the invitation cards, they printed the name of Balighur Rehman as federal minister for Education and Professional Training. However, Rehman is no longer a minister after the dissolution of the federal cabinet. The minister did not attend the ceremony. An official of the FBISE said that the former minister had not attended the event to avoid questions from the media. The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) oversees 422 educational intuitions. Many of them offer HSSC level education. However, only one student of an FDE’s institution could secure a position. Talking to Daily Times, FDE DG Hasnat Qureshi said that one of their students had secured the top position in the exams. “On the whole, the success ratio of our students remained good this year. Moreover, a large number of students passed the exam with very good marks. Our teachers impart the best education to our students,” he said. Published in Daily Times, August 1st , 2017.
