UMERKOT: Doctors and paramedics of District Headquarter Hospital Umerkot boycotting duty of Out Patients Department on fifth consecutive day at a rally have demanded impartial inquiry by Sindh High Court in Dr Kiran Hemji and a paramedic Tejhan reportedly humiliation incident at the hands of court staff in courtroom on August 3, 2017. Dr Hemji, members of civil society and lawyers in front of local press club said that they have moved application to Chief Justice Sindh High Court and Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan for inquiry by any Justice of SHC. They alleged data of close camera circuit during torturing both of women has not been sealed on the specific time and has been erased to hide crime. The lady constable involved in the act has not been faced any legal action, they lamented. Dr Azam Khoso and Dr Ali Nawaz Shahani condemned the delay in taking action against involved culprits and demanded speedy justice. Abdul Haleem Soomro, a social activist said suspension of Ali Akbar Rahimoo Superintendent Court was not solution or justice but proper inquiry was needed to bring culprits to book. Advocate Sharif Bheel said social and political pressure has been put on affected families and eyewitnesses for compromise. Dongarpuri President of paramedic staff said they would continue their protests and boycott of OPD across district until justice was not done to affected persons.
