GUJRANWALA: District administration has sealed the general bus stand, no vehicle is allowed to enter the bus stand and a large number of police officers have been appointed at the entry and exit gates. It was stated that the ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will stay in Gujranwala and the district administration will use the general bus stand for the parking of vehicles who have participated in Nawaz Sharif’s rally. While on the other hand local PML-N leaders have also completed all arrangements to welcome their leader. All roads have been decorated with huge hoardings and banners and about 12 welcome campuses have been established at G.T Road. Police and administration have also installed CCTV cameras at the strategic points to monitor the security arrangements while two control rooms have also been set up at the DC and CPO offices. It was stated that all the Rescue 1122 officials have been directed to perform their duties at GT Road along with 25 emergency ambulances and 13 fire brigade vehicles while 398 rescue officials will perform their duties from Wazirabad to Sadoki. Traffic plan: Traffic police have issued a traffic plan on 10 and 11 August to streamline traffic during the rally. According to this plan traffic from Rawalpindi to Lahore and from Lahore to Rawalpindi will use the motorway while in the city premises citizens were asked to use link roads except GT Road. CTO Asif Zafar Cheema stated that one SSP, six DSPs, 42 traffic senior wardens, 317 wardens, and 216 junior wardens shall perform their duties to streamline the traffic during the rally. Three arrested: FIA teams, as a result of different raids have arrested three human traffickers including a proclaimed offender here on Wednesday. It was said that the accused proclaimed offender Sajid Mahmood resident of Gujranwala, Kabeer Hussain resident of Gujrat and Abu Bakar resident of Kamoki were involved in sending people abroad through illegal documents.
