
LAHORE: Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Secretary Najam Ahmed Shah has directed officers concerned to finalise all arrangements by August 31 to inaugurate newly constructed nine-storey building of Outdoor Patient Department at the Services Hospital.
The building has been completed at a cost of Rs 1,388 million, said the health secretary while presiding over a meeting to review the arrangement for the inauguration of the multi-storey block at the Services Hospital on Saturday.
Services Institute of Medical Sciences Principal Prof Dr. Mehmood Ayaz, Services Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Muhammad Ameer, senior officers from Infrastructure Development Authority, Building Department and consultants attended the meeting.
The secretary was briefed in detail about the newly completed OPD block. The meeting reviewed the completion of civil work, installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system and fire-fighting equipment.
The meeting was informed that the new block had been completed at a cost of Rs 1,388 million. Four lifts have also been installed at the newly constructed buildings. It was told that paediatrics, psychiatry and endocrine wards had already been shifted to the new building.
The health secretary directed officials concerned to finalise all arrangements by August 31 so that the building could be formally inaugurated.
It was informed that the building had been equipped with modern facilities / gadgets a comfortable waiting area for patients.
