Lung cancer and smoking

Sir: I would like to use the column of your esteemed newspaper to point out that lung cancer is increasing day by day in Pakistan. 90 percent of all lung cancer cases are related to smoking tobacco and the World Health Organisation (WHO) has reported that smoking has gone up by 30 percent in Pakistan in the previous decade.
It is my request to the relevant authorities that action be taken to lower the rates of tobacco addiction in the country so that lung cancer can be stopped.
