ISLAMABAD: A decision has been taken to construct a cricket stadium in the federal capital. According to details, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the construction of the cricket stadium. It will be built on 35 acres of land at Shakarparian. Last year, THE CDA administration had refused to issue an NOC for the project. However, all issues have been resolved now. CDA had allotted 40 acres of land to PCB on lease for 33 years in 2008 for construction of the cricket stadium. The project was to be completed within five years. However, the PCB failed to do so. Therefore, the CDA cancelled the allotment.
