Sir: The pre-Qadri arrival bloodshed in Lahore on the morning of June 17 is a bad omen for the self-claimed revolutionary agenda of Tahir-ul-Qadri. His arrival may seriously worsen the already damaged law and order of the country. Imran Khan and Sheikh Rasheed though have extended full support to the military action and have postponed their anti-government political activities, but Qadri is determined to challenge the system and display his strength on the streets. And if anything similar to what has happened in Lahore on Tuesday morning is repeated on Qadri’s arrival, we will have, besides the Taliban, another front open to fight against. At this point of time the prayers of Maulana Qadri would be sufficient for the country; his physical presence may not be essential. Syed Hamzah Salem Gilani Lahore
