WARSAK: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Saturday that the KulbhushanJadhav case would be taken to its logical end in accordance with the country’s law. “Had Kulbushan not been apprehended in time, he would have committed more terror acts. There is no ambiguity about Kulbhushan – that he is an Indian spy. Politics should not be played on it. India, not Pakistan, resorted to the International Court of Justice. Kulbhushan has indulged in acts of sabotage in Pakistan,” he told reportersafter attending aceremony at Frontier Constabulary (FC) Headquarters at Warsak. He asserted that Kulbhushan Yadavwas an Indian spy who was involved in heinous crimes against Pakistan. “He was convicted under the country’s law,” he stated. Earlier, while addressing the passing out parade, he reaffirmed the commitment to purge the country from the menace of terrorism. The minister said that the country had achieved major successes in the war on terror due to the sacrifices rendered by the security forces. “This has led to reviving the sense of security amongst the people. This fight will be taken to its logical conclusion with unity and harmony in our ranks,” he said. “Certain elements are on the payroll of our enemies and receiving funds from them to stoke anarchy and unrest in the country. These elements are killing innocent people, including children and women, in the name of Islam. They have distorted the image of Islam through their sordid acts,” he said. The interior minister said the government had taken several steps to improve the capacity of security forces. “Over the last three and a half years, Rs80 billion has been spent on the capacity building of civil armed forces. Efforts are afoot to raise new wings in the civil armed forces,” he said. Referring to the role of the FC, the interior minister said that FC personnel were the protectors of Pakistan.”They will have to set new trends of professionalism and commitment in order to free the country of all undesirable elements,” he said. Regarding relations with Afghanistan, the interior minister said Pakistan desired cordial relations with the neighboring country. “The hearts of the peoples of the two countries beat together. However, the Afghan leadership should not speak the language of India,” Khan claimed. Regarding Iran, the interior minister said that he would visit the country after Ramzan and all matters would be addressed amicably. “Pakistan and Iran enjoy close relations and these will remain so in the future as well,” he affirmed.
