88 dead, 343 injured in Sehwan shrine explosion: official data

KARACHI:At least 88 people died while 343 were injured in the bomb blast at Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Shrine in Sehwan Sharif on Thursday.

According to official data, 76 people are still under treatment in different hospitals of Sindh.

According to details issued by Sindh director general health, out of the total 88 deaths, 76 dead bodied were shifted in Syed Abdullah Shah Institute of Medical Science, four in People’s Medical University Hospital, eight in Chandka Medical University Hospital.

As many as 343 people, including women and children, were injured in the explosion, out of which 210 in Syed Abdullah Shah Institute of Medical Science, 46 in People’s Medical University Hospital, 23 in Liaquat University Hospital, 17 DaduCivil Hospital, seven in PNS ShifaKarachi, six in Karachi Trauma Centre, 33 in Larkana’sChandka Medical University Hospital and one in Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.

As many as 76 people are still under treatment in Sindh province, out of which seven in PNS Shifa Karachi, six in KarachiTrauma Centre, and one Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, while the rest of the patients were under treatment in interior Sindhhospitals.
