Published on: May 3, 2016 6:56 AM

Pakistani drama actors Adnan Siddiqui and Sajal Ali are going to debut in Bollywood alongside veteran Indian actress Sridevi in movie ‘Mom’.

Adnan Siddiqui will play the role of Sridevi’s husband and Sajal Ali’s father. Producer of the film, Sridevi, will play a lead role in this women-centric film.

The news of Ali’s debuting in ‘Mom’ had broken few weeks before, however a source close to the production has confirmed Siddiqui as the second Pakistani actor in the upcoming flick. This will be his second overseas film
after ‘A Mighty Heart’.

Actor Akshay Khanna will make a comeback with the movie, while actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will have a special appearance. The ‘Mom’ team is currently working in Georgia.

Siddiqui has appeared in many commercials and drama serials, including ‘Uroosa’, ‘Pal Do Pal’, ‘Meri Adhoori Muhabbat’, ‘Meri Zaat Zara-e-Benishan’, ‘Doraha’, ‘Hawa Rait Aur Aangan’, ‘Choti Si Kahani’, ‘Vasl’ and ‘Parsa’. Siddiqui first started his filming career in the 1990s; he became notable for being cast in the popular drama ‘Uroosa’ and one of the famous travel reality shows of the time ‘Gulls & Guys’ directed by Shoaib Mansoor. In 2002, he was nominated for Best Actor at the Lux Style Awards. He also played a small role alongside actress and filmmaker Angelina Jolie and actor Irrfan Khan in the 2007 film ‘A Mighty Heart’. In 2010, Siddiqui won Best Supporting Actor award for ‘Ishq Junoon Deewangi’ at the Pakistan Media Awards.
