Pakistani forum to participate in SPIL ceremony

PESHAWAR: St. Fulin Group of Company, Pakistan, and Transport Ministry of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will lead a Pakistani forum to participate in the commencement ceremony of Sino Pak International Logistic Complex (SPIL) in China.
Country Director of the St. Faulin Zafarullah Khattak and Provincial Transport Minister Malik Shah Muhammad Khan Wazir will be heading the 25-member forum from KP that will depart for China on June 17.

Zafarullah said that SPIL was launched in order to build a modern land logistic system and advance the infrastructure construction process for the “China Pakistan Economic Corridor”.
The logistic complex will vigorously develop the land trade between Pakistan-China and the transport department of KP is likely to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Taxkorgan county of China Zafarullah Khattak added.

He said that the forum to participate in the SPIL commencement ceremony consists of the representatives of KPK Chamber of Commerce, Gilgit Chamber of Commerce, KPK logistic association, bankers, media persons and officials of the KPK transport department.

Senior Vice president of Peshawar United Goods Carrier Association (PGCA) Ziaur Rehman, said Toxkorgan county was located in Pamir, Kashgar city, Xinjiang province, which is the extremely significant node and the only way which must be passed by for the Karakoram highway and China Pakistan Railway, adding that the SPIL opening revolutionises the transport industries in KP and thousands of peoples related to the business of transport will have an advantage.

He further said that for the first time the representatives of the Pakistani forum will hold a compressive scheduled meeting with the representatives and principal leaders of China including the representative of Khunjerab Customs, members of State Bank of China, leader of the Kashgar Port Management Committee and businessmen related to the transpor sector.

Meanwhile, a press release issued by the group said the visit of the forum has been sponsored by the Government of Taxkorgan County in China’s Xinjiang province and that the opening ceremony of SPIL will be taking place on June 19.
