What do you give a princess for Christmas? It’s not a problem many of us would struggle with. But for Princess Charlotte’s security team, this is a reality. And you can’t exactly get a princess a Hatchimal. Not swayed by the pressure, they’ve bought the 19-month-old a personalised Christmas gift instead – and it’s lovely. According to the Sun, her minders have splashed out on a ‘day you were born’ print, created by artist Lucy Tapper. Lucy, 35, from Devon, described how the £55 purple picture includes Charlotte’s full name – Charlotte Elizabeth Diana – along with the date and time of her birth, 8:34am on May 2, 2015; her weight; her Emerald birth stone and star sign of Taurus. It also features the price of a first class stamp on her birthday and her lily of the valley birth flower. Lucy told the Sun, “We received an order from the security team at Kensington Palace for a Day You Were Born print as a gift for Princess Charlotte. We sent the print, along with a card and we received a letter of thanks from the office of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.” The artist also admitted she made one for Prince George two years ago, but thought the order had come from a super fan and hadn’t realised it had been from the palace. She admitted she is thrilled to think the print will be hanging in Princess Charlotte’s nursery.
