LAHORE: Addressing the media in London on Sunday, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif applauded his daughter Maryam Nawaz for successfully managing Begum Kulsoom Nawaz’s election campaign. The former premier visited his wife Kulsoom Nawaz in London, who, due to her treatment for lymphoma, could not be present in Lahore for her election campaign. Speaking to media about his wife’s ongoing treatment, Sharif said, “Kulsoom’s treatment is underway and another surgery is planned in the coming days”. Responding to a question regarding Kulsoom’s election campaign, the former prime minister said that he was satisfied with the way her election campaign was managed by his daughter and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz’s (PML-N) workers for NA-120 by-poll.
