KARACHI: Fifteen Pakistani autoparts manufacturers to participate in upcoming German auto show Automechanika Frankfurt from September 13 to 17 this year. Many other Pakistani trade visitors from auto sector are also going to visit the five-day exhibition. Automechanika Frankfurt is the world’s largest auto parts trade fair catering to aftermarket sourcing, garage equipment and retail sales chains. Pakistani exporters are continuously gaining market entry into Europe, mainly through export related skills training imparted by the Dutch CBI, Centre For Promotion of exports from low cost countries. CBI has conducted a number of 4 year Export Coaching Programs in Pakistan, which have resulted in grooming Pakistani engineering sector companies for the export market and also created a human resource of export managers. Pakistani companies, which see a huge potential for auto spare parts and accessories in the international market, are bearing the cost themselves and are often seen around the world at Automechanika Chicago, Shanghai, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Moscow etc. Pakistani companies, which shall participate, include A-One Techniques, Darson Industries (Pvt) Ltd., Eastern Agro Industries, Harris Silicon & Gas (Pvt) Ltd., Infinity Engineering (Pvt Ltd), Jodhala Complex (Pvt) Ltd., Kortech Auto Industries (Pvt) Ltd., Landhi Engineering (Pvt) Ltd., Mannan Shahid Forging Ltd., Mehran Commercial Enterprises, Rastgar Engineering, Rubatech Manufacturing Co Ltd., Thal Engineering, Thermosole Industries (Pvt) Ltd., and Ahmed Traders. Most of the companies are PAAPAM members and are exhibiting their product under TDAP pavilion while three are to exhibit with CBI this year, said PAAPAM’s Senior Vice-Chairman Mashood Ali Khan. He said that PAAPAM wants to increase exports from Pakistan, our vision to take engineering export to 5 billion in next five years. PAAPAM members are competing with China, India, Thailand and Vietnam. “We are very confident to getting orders from across Europe and others countries,” PAAPAM Senior Vice Chairman Mashhood Ali Khan said, he also thanked TDAP who support and encourage engineering sector in different trade fair.
