Waking up from hibernation PPP finally says ‘enough is enough’ to PML-N

Published on: November 29, 2016 4:18 AM

ISLAMABAD: Central Punjab Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Information Secretary Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar on Monday said his party would expose the demerits of nine-year rule of Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif.

Talking to reporters, he said the PPP would expose the PML-N’s so-called claims of good governance. He added that PP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would meet the estranged party workers at their doorsteps to pacify them to party folds. If the PPP’s four demands are not accepted then they would launch a movement against the government in January, he underlined. He disclosed that Bilawal would contest election from Sindh and southern Punjab. He added that the PPP has suffered enormously due to politics of reconciliation, he added. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has suffered two major setbacks, he remarked.

The PPP has not ever become part of any process which has caused harm to democracy, he said. He held that failures of Punjab government will be challenged. Shahbaz Sharif has gone abroad for his treatment while the poor patients are facing worst condition in Punjab’s hospitals, Khokhar deplored. He said the rulers of Punjab have spent the entire budget on projects like orange train and metro bus. He said Bilawal has fielded new team ahead of next election which will expose false claims of good governance and make public the flawed policies of the government. Bilawal would public the party’s vision on December 30, he said, adding that the PPP chairman would also make announcement regarding the upcoming elections. “All efforts will be launched to take forward mission of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto. The government has registered countless cases against the PPP workers. The People’s Lawyers Forum will extend free legal assistance to them,” he concluded.
