Shopkeeper, passer-by, four dacoits killed in robbery attempt in Nankana Sahib

NANKANA SAHIB: A shopkeeper, a passerby, and four dacoits killed on Wednesday in a robbery bid in Syedwala area of Nankana Sahib.

According to the reports, almost seven dacoits entered a jewelry shop to commit a robbery during which jeweler Zafran Zafarullah resisted.

On showing resistance, dacoits opened fire and Zafarullah got injured. he was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.

On getting reports, Police reached the site and managed to chase the dacoits. As a result of which, the robbers opened fire on the police.

In an exchange of firing a passer-by and four dacoits, moreover, two robbers managed to escape.

According to the police, two of the murdered dacoits were identified as Qasim alias Kashi and Imran.

Qasim was a resident of Faisalabad and wanted by police in 17 cases while on the other hand, seven cases were registered against Imran in different police stations, it added.

DPO Nankana Sahib told the media that two police officials got injured in an exchange of firing.
