Education and health have always been our top priority: Parvez Elahi

Published on: July 2, 2018 4:24 AM

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid senior central leader and former deputy prime minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has said that the focus of “our work has always been better education and health for the common and poor man, farmers and their children. Because of this, I during my chief minister-ship in Punjab also undertook numerous record works like free education, free medicines and provision of employment to maximum number of people in which 1122 like institutions are also included”.

He said this while addressing a large public meeting along with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) former Member of National Assembly Sardar Mumtaz Tamman, Hafiz Ammar Yasir and other leaders in NA-65 Talagang on Sunday.

Chaudhry Parvez Elahi further said that progress of the poor, farmers, workers and backward areas was the mission of his life.

“The people on July 25 should take the right decision and make the looters of the country and of the nation run away forever,” he said.

“Your area is the land of martyrs and ghazis which has produced sons like Air Marshal Noor Khan who had rendered meritorious services for the motherland. This is the reason that I have so much love for this area of rendering great sacrifices for the country and the nation. Besides elders, I have 36 years’ long political experience. I have selflessly served the people of this area without any consideration for victory or defeat in the election and as the deputy PM utilised all my development funds in this area.

Parvez Elahi said that he regarded Talagang as his second home.

“Draw comparison of our tenure including provision of electricity and gas with any previous tenure, we have written a new chapter of development also in this area,” he maintained.

Elahi said that the people were already hit hard by price hike. Increase in petroleum prices was a matter of great concern. PMLN’s black deeds are surfacing one after the other. People should take revenge from them in these elections. Power forever rests with Almighty Allah only. Victory or failure in the election is only in the hands of Almighty Allah, Elahi said.
