
DUBAI: Pakistan Super League (PSL) Chairman Najam Sethi has stated that the TV ratings of this edition of the PSL are much much higher than the previous edition.
He added that the gate receives were higher this year compared to last year and claiming that the final in Lahore would be record breaking.
He clarified that the ticket prices were high due to expenses of the heavy security contingents deployed at various areas in and around the stadium.
Sethi said “Nations have to make such sacrifices to send a message of hope and harmony”
The PSL Chairman stated that because our country is a developing nation and we are expected to become to become a part of the world’s 30 largest economies, the tag of a lower league compared to the Indian Premier League would become a distant memory in the upcoming years.
He said that bringing international cricket back to the country was the aspiration of the people.
While responding to statements made by politicians, he said “Yes i admit there are security issues but does this mean we stop living our lives? He stressed that we need to show the enemy that we are not afraid of anything.
