Balochis hurt by PM Abbasi’s anti-Sanjrani remarks: Bizenjo

Published on: March 27, 2018 8:29 PM

LAHORE: Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo on Tuesday called upon Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaders to discuss national and provincial political matters.

Speaking during the meeting between the two parties, CM Bizenjo said that the people of Balochistan duly respect PML-Q leader Shujaat Hussain and Pervaiz Elahi.

“My father shares a fruitful relation with Shujaat since 1985 and the people of Balochistan have great amount of respect for him and Pervaiz Elahi,” Bizenjo said.

Bizenjo also called for the political parties from across the country to unite for the welfare of the country, while he also criticised Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi over his remarks against the Senate chairman.

“I respect the PM a lot, but his remarks against the Senate chairman have deeply hurt the people of Balochistan. The PM should first look into making corrections on his own end,” Bizenjo added.

The Balochistan CM continued that Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif does not attend meetings headed by PM Abbasi.

PML-Q spearhead Shujaat Hussain also called for political factions to unite under one banner. “I have requested CM Balochistan to unite the parties for the betterment of the country. We have always believed in our Pakistan before PML-Q ideology,” Shujaat continued.

Referring to the appointment of the Senate chairman, Shujaat said that Sanjrani was appointed as the Upper House head purely on merit and that he deserve the seat.

Muslim league Quaid’s Pervaiz Elahi said that the PML-Q is an ideology and that people in Balochistan share similar point of views. He lauded CM Bizenjo for ‘having the potential to unite the country’.
