Foodies unite over great food and music in the capital

ISLAMABAD: Following the launch of the new season of Coca-Cola Food & Music Festival in Lahore, the gala gourmet commenced in Islamabad in a three-day run (8th, 9th and 10th Dec 2017) at the Polo Club, Lake View Park.

The Coca-Cola Food & Music Festival Islamabad attracted a large audience of foodies from all places of the capital.Attendees not only witnessed chefs working their magic through cooking demonstrations but also rocked to live performances by musicians Sahara UK, Sahir Ali Bagga, Quadrum and Waheed Khan. Coke Food Fest Islamabad offered the season’s freshest flavours from a diverse range of traditional Desi to Continental, Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Thai), Turkish/Lebanese and Italian food.The selection of cuisines for Coke Fest were curated based on reviews and feedback of members of the popular food portal “Foodies ‘R Us”, confirming that the selection was based on popular choice and opinions of some of Pakistan’s most passionate and authentic foodies. Home-based chefs also made a significant part of the festival; they brought with them a range of multi-generational secret family recipes, soul food and unique flavours.

Coke Fest spokesperson Asad Sheikh, founder of the influential food collective Foodies ‘R Us said,”Food is the only common denominator between every culture and it’s the only thing that brings people together.We are very excited about Islamabad and look forward to bringing the ultimate foodie experience to the capital.”

CEO at Activemedia Saad M. Khan added, “This is the second season of Coca-Cola Food and Music Festival and we have already come a long way. Expanding to five cities with hundreds of food stalls and the biggest artists on stage, the festival is set to break all records.”

A diverse panel of culinary talents i.e. local chefs offered special menus, discounts and great meal deals during the festival. With Lotus PR as the official public relations partners, Coke Food Fest Islamabad attracted a crowd of more than 20,000 food enthusiasts from the capital. Foodies of Islamabad sampled options from over 70 leading contemporary restaurants and 30 caterers, home chefs et al food stalls that found their way at the nonstop “Party in the Park’. Pop band ‘Stereo Nation’ enthralled the attendees in a riveting performance on the third and last day, Sunday 10th December 2017.
