The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecast widespread rain across Sindh until July 27. It warned that isolated heavy downpours could trigger urban flooding in several low-lying districts.
According to the PMD, a low-pressure system over southwest Rajasthan and strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are influencing weather conditions. These systems are expected to bring rain, dust, and thunderstorms across southern and central Pakistan.

Moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast in Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Sanghar, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Matiari, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, and Shaheed Benazirabad. The wet spell is expected to continue with occasional breaks through July 27.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rain and thunderstorms are also likely in Ghotki, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze, Qambar Shahdadkot, and Thatta. The PMD warned that strong winds and lightning could damage vulnerable infrastructure.
Moreover, the department cautioned that heavy rainfall may cause urban flooding in several districts. It advised residents in vulnerable areas to remain alert and follow official weather advisories.

Additionally, farmers were advised to plan agricultural activities according to the forecast and protect their livestock. The PMD said the ongoing hot and humid weather is likely to ease during the rainy period.
For Karachi, the Met Office forecast partly cloudy, warm, and humid conditions with possible thunderstorms on the outskirts. Light rain or drizzle is expected at isolated locations over the weekend, with temperatures ranging between 28°C and 37°C.
