Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon termed Khawaja Saad Rafique’s statement highly irresponsible, an attempt to distort history, and against national unity. In his statement, Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that Khawaja Saad Rafique has fallen victim to political and moral bankruptcy. Sarcastic statements cannot change history or public opinion. He said that the fall of Dhaka is a tragic event in the history of Pakistan, the wounds of which are still fresh in the hearts of the entire nation. Using such a sensitive national tragedy for political point-scoring is tantamount to rubbing salt into the nation’s wounds. Sharjeel Inam Memon said that before blaming Shaheed Bhutto for the fall of Dhaka, Khawaja Saad Rafique should read the Hamood-ur-Rehman Commission Report. Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto gave Pakistan a unanimous Constitution, laid the foundation of the nuclear program, united the Islamic world on one platform, and gave political awareness to the people. He said that the PML-N still owes its success to the atomic bomb program initiated by Shaheed Bhutto. The services of the Bhutto family are a bright chapter in Pakistan’s history, which cannot be denied on the basis of political opposition.
