Security forces killed 10 terrorists and arrested two female suicide bombers during intelligence-based operations in Balochistan, the military said on Tuesday. The operations also led to the arrest of a facilitator. The actions targeted militant networks operating in Surab and Mastung districts.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were conducted over the past 48 hours. The military said the raids targeted what it described as India-sponsored Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khawarij. The objective was to eliminate terrorists and their facilitators.

The ISPR said seven terrorists were killed during operations in Surab after security forces engaged militant hideouts. Meanwhile, a separate operation in Mastung killed three terrorists. Two female suicide bombers and their alleged facilitator were also taken into custody.
Additionally, security forces recovered weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices from the militants. According to the ISPR, sanitisation operations continue in the affected areas. The military said efforts remain focused on eliminating any remaining militants.
The operations form part of Pakistan’s broader counterterrorism campaign under the Azm-e-Istehkam strategy. Moreover, authorities say the campaign aims to dismantle militant networks and improve security across the country. Counterterrorism operations remain a national security priority.

President Asif Ali Zardari praised the security forces for the successful operations. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also commended the officers and personnel involved. He said no one would be allowed to disturb peace in Balochistan and pledged to continue the fight against terrorism.
Therefore, security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue intelligence-based operations across affected areas. According to the ISPR, authorities remain committed to eliminating terrorism and maintaining lasting peace. Officials also reaffirmed support for continued counterterrorism efforts nationwide.
