Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had repeatedly called for ending the long-standing state of “no war, no peace” with the United States. His remarks came as military tensions continued to escalate across the Gulf region.
Speaking at a National Industry and Mining Day ceremony, Pezeshkian said Khamenei had stressed the need for a new approach in private meetings. He added that Iran’s negotiations had been guided by national honour, wisdom, and dignity while safeguarding the country’s interests.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed it targeted a complex housing U.S. forces in Jordan’s Al-Rukban area during the 24th wave of Operation Nasr 2. The IRGC alleged several U.S. soldiers were killed, although Jordan and the United States had not commented, and the claim could not be independently verified.
Additionally, the United Arab Emirates condemned what it described as Iran’s hostile attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan. The UAE said the strikes violated the sovereignty of neighboring states and reaffirmed its support for measures to protect regional security.
Kuwait also reported fresh Iranian strikes on electricity generation and water desalination facilities for the fourth consecutive day. Authorities said fires had been extinguished while damage assessments and repair work remained underway.

Meanwhile, Bahrain activated air raid sirens as Iranian missiles and drones targeted the Gulf kingdom. Bahraini authorities urged residents to seek shelter, while the military said it intercepted several incoming projectiles. Jordan also announced that its forces had intercepted five Iranian drones.
The latest developments underscore growing instability across the Middle East as exchanges between Iran and the United States continue. Regional governments remain on high alert, while international attention is focused on preventing further escalation.
